Posting your project: a simple format that works

Want people to actually read, follow, and comment on your project thread? Steal this structure for your opening post:
  1. Title and one-line hook. "Turn-based RPG where you play the villain's accountant" beats "My first game (WIP)" every single time.
  2. Three to five screenshots. Even rough ones. Especially rough ones. People follow projects to watch them improve.
  3. What is done and what is not. Honesty builds an audience. "Combat works, story is 20% written, all art is placeholder" is a great status line.
  4. What kind of feedback you want. Mechanics? Art direction? Writing? Tell people where to aim.

Then, and this is the real secret: update the thread. A devlog with monthly updates and visible progress will quietly build you a fanbase before the game even has a store page.

We are excited to see what you are making. Yes, even the unfinished stuff. Especially the unfinished stuff.
